Why Weather Five?

If you have a moment, I'll spill my guts. First, how did my intrest in weather start? In 1992 at the age of 20, I started taking flying lessons. Well for those of you who don't know, flying is all about weather. The more I studied it the more interested I became. I am not an expert by any means. I really know just enough to get myself in trouble in a conversation. By the way I never made it as a pilot, ran out of money along the way. Which leads to why five? Well In the absence of flying I found a hobby just as exciting. Racing. If you haven't guessed yet, five was my number. From 1996 to 1999 in a street stock car and 2003 to 2005 in a Late model. To answer the primary question, why Weather five? When I thought of a web address I wanted to combine my two hobbies into one. Last but not least, If your wondering, why the fancy equipment and not so fancy web site? Well if you get a chance to visit my links you will see a link to the National Weather Association. This group recently held their first meeting and with my wife in tow we attended. We really enjoyed it. Now with my wife's approval, I purchased this equipment so I could further my hobby, and display the data I collect to you and the local network. I'm still learning how to put it all together.
